Solomon Loche

Solomon Loche

I, Solomon Loche, am campaigning for Mayor of Waller, Texas.I have lived in Texas for the past 34 years and in Waller for almost 2 years. I am a great candidate because I bring state work experience from Texas A&M University and federal government work experience from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). In both positions, I budget and manage multimillions of dollars. The following narrative represents my autobiography.

I grew up in a small town in northern Bastrop, Lousiana. After graduating from high school, I departed my hometown for basic training with the Army. After AIT (Advance Individual Training), where I was trained as a combat engineer, I transitioned into the Army National Guard of Louisiana.

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA, and have worked in the accounting and finance arena for more than 30 years. During those 30 years, I also earned my Real Estate Broker license.

I am married (32 years) and have two children. We have lived in Europe (Kyiv, Ukraine) and Asia (Manila, Philippines). In those locations, I was a foreign service officer responsible for signing off on funds allocated by the US Congress to help bring democracy to countries that seek human rights and development.

For the past 7 years, I have been employed at Texas A&M University as an Executive Director of Finance. In my spare time, I enjoy bicycling, horseback riding, and driving sport cars.
